What is Delta 9-THC?
The same good ol' fashioned THC we are all used to, being that Straight Hemp's products are full spectrum they all contain THC. Wait, what about the Delta-9? Well the THC in our products and all naturally grown Cannabis products is delta-9 THC, we used to leave out the Delta-9 because it was TMI, but due to innovation in the Hemp Industry, and the rise in popularity of Delta-8 THC products, we started including it.
We also wanted to indicate that our Delta-9 gummy product line was POTENT and DIFFERENT than other Straight Hemp formulas and other brands in the market. How potent? 3x more potent in terms of THC, which some people really appreciate for Sleep, Pain, Anxiety, Mood, and General Well Being.
How is this legal?
The law that distinguishes Marijuana and Hemp (both types of Cannabis) states that a hemp product shall contain no more than 0.3% by weight or volume delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Each gummy weighs on average 3.2g, or 3200mg. By law each gummy could contain ~96mg of THC, FAR TOO MUCH for a consumer product and dietary supplement. Our formula of 5mg THC per gummy is the right balance and definitely legal.
Are there age restrictions on this product?
Laws are still emerging and do not address this equally in every state, we suggest 21+ for best practices.
Will this product intoxicate me?
No, not if consumed in a responsible manner. Although improved mood and elevated well-being are expected for most.
How do I use it?
Test how this works for you at an appropriate time. The recommended dosage is 1 gummy, and with all new health regimens a board-certified physician should be consulted for all protocol changes and we are not prescribing. For smaller starting doses, you may start with 1/2 a gummy or a 1mL dose of Full Spectrum Oil or 1x Elderberry Gummy.
How to open package?
This is a tamper proof seal to keep children out, and some adults ;) To open the bag pinch between your index and middle finger on one side and thumb on the other clasping the seal with your fingers parallel to the seal and push and pull each side of the bag in an opposite manner from one another.

Delta 9 THC Versus Delta 8 THC
So far it doesn't appear to be a major difference aside from the chemical fact that a double pond position on the 9th versus 8th carbon in a molecular ring of THC. Check out the illustration below:
What does this mean for its effect on a human? Well, the conformation meaning the shape of the molecule doesn't seem to change much, and anecdotal reports not much difference between Delta-9 and Delta-8 from an experience standpoint, although reports of intensity or mood vary in some instances with no clear pattern and are likely largely subjective.
Delta-8 and the law?
A big, although equally controversial topic, is the fact that hemp laws are explicit in naming Delta-9 in the law, hence the reason our gummies are below the threshold, but the law does not control for Delta-8 or the many other emerging
Cannabinoids entering the market and the manufacturing centers across the globe. Thus, you may have seen of or tried stock Delta-8 Hemp products, although several Marijuana Industry lobbying groups in states like Colorado are working to ban Delta-8 and further control Delta-9 and hemp cannabinoids, states like North Carolina and Kentucky are at the forefront for establishing state-regulated programs that would preserve this space for the hemp industry in the light of any government challenge or special interests lobbying.
